People that join bandwagons should feel a little bit ashamed of themselves.
Really.
Let me watch a documentary. My eyes have been opened. Fine.
People want to out this evil warlord to the Internet. Fantastic!
But in 30 days or less most of these people won’t give a damn about what happens to women and children in Africa. They will shout and preach and talk and blog about this man who has fucked shit up in Uganda for years, not researching to see that there have been improvements in the area… Now you want to do something about it?
And on the documentary itself, the people that made that video had to have been paid a good amount of money. Personally I feel money should be used to actually change the problem at hand and not just raise awareness to a bunch of people who won’t give a damn in a few weeks about who Kony is and the fucked up shit he did. I have done several videos for non-profit organizations and wasn’t paid a thing, and I am ok with that.
Also, reblogging a video doesn’t do shit but offer a conversation piece. How many people have reblogged the link to take action?
I am just hoping that enough people actually do something instead of front like they really care.
